Attention FRAMILY: The details for Jasten’s Memorial Ceremony have been finalized and here they are. I have created a sub-event with the Facebook event manager, but you have to click the link (https://www.facebook.com/events/1914456875484933/) inside it, to get to the full details. We hope to see you there. 💜
Memorial Ceremony for Jasten Devon Adams: Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM
The date and place and time is set for Jasten’s Memorial Service. I hope to see you there.
Memorial Services to be held at:
Dust to Dust Green Burial and Nature Reserve Cemetery
205 Nulty Crossing | Swansea, SC 29160
Sunday, October 15th at 1:30 pm
Jasten’s ashes will be buried with the seeds of an evergreen pine tree in a BiosUrn.
He was not a traditional guy, so this is not a traditional funeral.
There will be music and we will share our loving memories of Jasten.
Yes, we will shed tears, because we are all hurting and we miss him,
but for the sake of his imprint on our lives, we will share our love for Jas.
*Please take note: Nulty Crossing is a dirt road. Just in case your GPS isn’t reliable after you get off of I-77, I recommend having a printed or screen-captured copy of the route from the highway to the entrance of the cemetery and back. From route 6, you will turn onto Nulty Crossing Road. Don’t do what Google maps says, because it takes you into the cemetery the wrong way.

I know this is not exactly a short trip, even for folks who live nearby, but please understand that green burials are not something that are done at just any cemetery and the majority of the few that are in the Carolinas, that are within a 2-4 hour radius are not only expensive, but also not all accommodating. With a BiosUrn, we are literally planting a tree, along with Jasten’s ashes, and this is not something that all green burial cemeteries even allow for. In fact, Dust to Dust has been the only one, out of all the area green burial cemeteries I have tried. Also, Dust to Dust IS the closest to us. The others were 3-4 hours away. The one north east of Charlotte doesn’t accommodate tree-planting. So please understand that this service being halfway to Charleston is not simply because we’ve had to “be cheap.” It is because we had to do this right. I am sorry for the folks that will have to drive further than they had expected to, but there are people driving 9-10 hours to be at this memorial for Jasten and there are people even flying in, so if a couple of hours drive is too much of an inconvenience on you, there is nothing I can say to get you to understand how important this is.
