She started as a doodle for a temporary tattoo concept...
In 2004, Mia doodled this concept in colour pencil and #BadKitty was born.
In 2018, Mia took a trip through her old sketchbook, snapped a photo with her iPhone, and played around with effects on the Prisma app. The results proved it worth the $4.99 for the month. Out came this modern take on the original retro look of #BadKitty.
Mia shared her transition of #BadKitty on Facebook, in 2018, and folks suggested they'd love to see her on garments, so the inspiration to put her on apparel began.
Later in 2018, Mia's friend, Val, suggested she consider putting #BadKitty in different outfits. Dia de los Muertos was her first inspiration and #SugarSkull #BadKitty was then designed, digitally.
With Mia's friend, Val, being such a great support to her endeavors, and Val being an active part in the #Steampunk community, her next look had to be that of #SteampunkFashion.
What will #BadKitty don next? Western Wear? Superhero Gear? 80's Rocker Look? Maybe a Poodle Skirt... that would just be weird, right?
